A mouthpiece won't "give" you a rich dark tone, tone has to be earned!
In an earlier post, you said you where happy with the tone you got out of your 18, what has changed?
Do not get me wrong, there is nothing the matter with wanting the best equipment... unless it leads to "The Quest for the Perfect (fill in the blank)" .
My advice, go to a place where you can try out a large variety of MP's, side by side, on your tuba. Narrow your selection to 3 or 4. Play each one of those for a week, then decide. Stick with that mouthpiece untill you get a new tuba, then begin the process again.
If it was me, I'ld begin with my trusty old Bach 12 (hope it is Y2K compliant!), but that is just me, your mileage may vary.
