there is another instrument I didn't think of until a minute ago. It's called a bass flugelhorn. I saw one a couple months ago at a recital here at Biola University. It is pitched the same as a euphonium and is conical like a euph and flugelhorn. It has a fabulous sound. It is shapled more like a large flug than a large trumpet. It has the same unscrew-and-pull type tuning at the leadpipe and everything. It's a cool instrument but probably tough to find.
