so far as I know the only ones are the Humes & Berg-- which runs betw. $115-$150 from a music shop (I don't have a brasswind in front of me but you should call charlie krause)-- and the Yamaha silent brass which I think is running for about $350 without the electronics. I have played the silent brass and it is definitely a better mute than the H&B. It plays with less resistance and is quieter. The electronics are OK, but I think they are still working on the pickup design. One cool thing about the silent brass is that it collapses for easier travel. It folds down to about 18" round by 10-12" deep.

I liked playing on the silent brass but I'm not sure it's quite worth the money. Personally I don't have $350 to throw around for something I'm not performing with. I think I'd rather keep my Humes & Berg and buy something I'd use more.

My humble and very well debatable opinion, take it or leave it.
