I don't think a new case would be a waste of money. The Johnson cases cost about $700 here in the US and come with lifetime guarantees. Again, what is available in the Netherlands in unknown to me. Crush a bell or twist a valve section and the repair bill can easily approach $700 and the horn may never play the same again.
International flights can be especially rough on baggage since you change planes so often. That is a lot of chances for baggage handlers to drop your horn on the tarmac. If you fly international with a standard wooden case, then save up a couple hundred dollars for the repair bills when you arrive at your destinations.
