Ok Blues Scales....
Assuming you already know the Major scale,
just play these partials with respect to the root:
I --> IIIb --> IV --> IV#/Vb --> V --> VIIb --> I
or
Root --> Flat 3rd --> 4th ---> Raised 4th/Flat 5th --> 5th --> Flat 7th --> Root
Just apply the above to any of the major scale....
For Bb Major, you would play
Bb --> Db --> Eb --> E --> F --> Ab --> Bb
For C Major, you would play
C --> Eb --> F --> F#/Gb --> G --> Bb --> C
Now, all you need to do is add a little rhythm to the scale,
a I-IV-V "12-bar blues progression", and you should be set.
[Check out some blues guitar players (Stevie Ray Vaughn, BB King)
You'll hear them use the blues scales in a lot of their riffs... ]
