Unfortunately, the Lisa Golas arr. of the Great Gate of Kiev (and other mvts. from "Pictures") are really voiced for large tuba/euph. ensemble. Though some mvts. are for 4 voices, I think most are for 6 (including the Great Gate). Moreover, the arrangement itself is somewhat lacking in general. Just not very good.

There are many great tuba/euph. quartets out there, but unfortunately, most are not found in Tuba Press with the exception of those by John Stevens (esp. Anna Magdelana Suite) and Mike Forbes (though some of his stuff can be kind of challenging). Steven's stuff is also published by Editions BIM and good titles for a High school quartet would be Power, Manhatten Suite, Dances, and Jammin'. Other arr.'s by Jack Gale and Bill Holcombe are good. Bill Holcombe publishes and retails much of Gale's and Forbes's stuff through his: "Musicians Publiscations." Contact him at: 800 343-0581 or 609-882-8139 for a catalogue.
