It was so amazing. I put lead golfers tape in my instrument and now it sounds like a 6/4 top brand instrument. I also added the tape around my mouthpiece. The improvement was amazing.
This technique was taught to me by a pro who plays a Hirshbrunner. His horn is full of lead tape.
If I can put lead tape on a $2200 Russian tuba and then go out and win the local audition, think of what you can do with your high dollar instrument. The improvement of the new century.
