If memory serves correct, I remember you using a Yamaha YBB-321 at Area. I have found that most Yamaha piston valves have problems. At my high school we have two 321's (both of which I won't play, I'll stick with my beat up Mirafone) and the first and second valves tend to stick while playing. At the elementary school, the teacher there just bought 6 Yamaha Euphs and 6 Yamaha YBB-105's. After receiving them she had to send every last one out to a repair shop to have the valves worked on (at Yamaha's expence though). In my opinion there is not that much that can be done execpt take it to a reapir guy. The year is almost over and if it is the schools's tuba don't worry about it that much.
