I strongly remember two things from when I was 12 or so:
Listening to the Firebird Ballet with Stravinsky conducting, on my little home stereo, with one speaker on each side of my head. I think I spent time in Heaven listening to that.
Also, Jascha Heifetz, the violinist, was instrumental through his recordings of sending me into music. Neither of these is tuba, but it wasn't a "tuba exclusive" question, was it?
