He would peruse the SOM's Musical Instrument Museum on certain nights and just grab old horns for the Brass Bell gig...any old horns...amazing.

He dragged the Sarrusophone and Heckelphone out to the Brass Bell and just tore it up at the bar. I saw him play that silly bass sax several times.

It was like Popeye on drugs or something...

Weaver was a devil of a player and a great teacher! Larry Ferdinande and I dragged our lame butts into his improv class and Weaver never even laughed at us (much).
