Hello,
I only own one tuba suitable for quintet right now so it is the only horn I use. It is the Yamaha 822F. I used to play with a 321YBB and although many people on this board do not like it...I thought it worked pretty well considering how little I paid for it. I am glad that I have an F to play with the groups I am with now. I find that the Yamaha F blends well with the other players in this quintet. I also love using it in the tuba quartet I play with. I play 1st so I am sure that has something to do with it. On my old 321 it was very hard to sustain with that group in the upper register. The F just sings.
