We gave the choir a workout playing the Hallelujah Chorus from the CB book, in Bb. The singers with perfect pitch wanted it a third higher, the basses loved it, and the congregation could actually hit most of the notes.
This was not my church, I don't belong. My pay was part barter for rehearsal space and part knowing that I was adding to the spiritual value of a day important to my ensemble brothers and sister, my neighbors, and my community. I provide for my religious and spiritual needs independently. Taj
