So... d'ya reckon this instrument is in Bb tenor (like a euphonium?) That's my guess, but I'd be interested in anyone else's thoughts on the sousaphone instrument in the Hoosier Hot Shots picture linked below.
For the record, these guys mostly played bass/banjo/guitar/clarinet/washboard and the best slide-swanee whistle I've ever heard - very versatile novelty band.
