Hi all!

The Piston Rudy is really just a smaller version of the sound that is produced by the Model 45. The best way that I can think to tell someome that hasn't heard them both is that the rotary horns have a "thicker" sound. The piston horn has a bore that is very close to the 3/4 rotary, but the bell is like that of a 4/4 rotary, so you kinda get a sound that is in between the two.

I have a 4/4 Rotary that I'm selling because A) I need to pay some bills and B) it's too big for some of the playing I do and too small for others. The Piston horn is probably too small for some of the really big ensemble stuff, but it will be the perfect compliment to a 6/4 CC and F tuba combo. It's probably the best 5tet horn that I've ever put my hands on, too!

Feel free to call or e-mail me for more info!

Taek care!
