Money should not be an issue, but facts are, you cant live on good intentions. I teach a lot of students, and I use this money to live on. I don't do half hours, only hours. I charge 30 an hour, and 95% of my students are every other week. The most dedicate ones are weekly, which I don't mind. I sometimes find it hard to fit in more that 12 lessons in one week. This is a fair price for the for North Carolina, I believe. The student should decide whether or not they can afford the costs. I have been known to come down in price, but its rare. Usaully, it never comes up...I say what I charge and they pay it. Its nice to not have to talk about that stuff. I would rather just teach music. No way is perfect, but its my way..and thats what I like. I have contact with some fanytastic kids.
