I have always thought that a strap that had a "hard" harness that acted sort of like a marching bass-drum support, that then had a single adjustable-length strap in front that would connect to the bottom bow (either by clipping to the horn grommet? or to another strap connected the bottom bow). This would provide a single pivot point that would be stable, supporting all the weight with the shoulders, and allowing very free movement and use of the left hand for slide adjustments, etc.
Does anyone know of such a contraption?
