I've played one of these recently and although I wouldn't call the low register "strong", it certainly WASN'T weird and certainly WAS very clear: the hallmark of the mirafone cc's and f's in general. It's a smallish horn and felt like a baritone compared to the 45SLP I blew right before it, but I did like the Mirafone better. Really "fun" to play, and fun factor means a lot to me.
