I was trying to tune my Meinl Weston C using Jeffrey Funderbunk's method, but I came upon the phrase "tune the 2nd slide to a true half-step below the open 2nd partial." So, the questions are: What is a partial, how do you play a partial, and is there a more accepted way of tuning?
