Several years ago, I received orders to Korea. This was not the news my wife or I wanted to hear but we went anyway(not like I had a choice.) Our parents were worried about us, as were we, but we made it and our marriage is much stronger for the challenges we faced and overcame. As previously stated, your wife, I'm assuming, can seek more diverse employment as you are limited. My wife took five jobs in the span of one year, three of them at once. One does not know his limitations or abilities until they are truly tested. I'd listen to your in-laws, TALK WITH YOUR WIFE LOTS, make the decision together, and go for it whatever it may be. If it were me, I'd take the gig. But I have great parents, in-laws, and even better a supportive wife. Best of luck.
