I'm not sure about any of their elegial qualities, but you might peruse an oboist's Barret - Complete Oboe Method (very thick etude book owned by any serious oboist). There are several sections of treble (non-transposed) / bass clef duets. You would need some decent agility and range (or the ability to flip-flop back and forth when called for at sight) to execute some of the bass clef duet parts, as they are a bit bassoon-ish. These duets are mostly first half of the 19th century in their harmonic palete.

Another couple of books to look at (cheap and readily available) are some "generic" ("any instrument" with "any instrument" - just buy YOUR BOOK and YOUR DUET PARTNER'S APPROPRIATE BOOK):

"Duets for All"

and

"Classical Duets for All"

These are probably about $6.00 per book and probably contain 10 - 12 duets from easy intermediate to somewhat-advanced (not too tough) level. You would have to buy a flute book AND a tuba book for either of these. I might have these in stock.
