When I got my Kalison DS six years ago, I used the same MP that I had been using, a Conn Helleburg. After using this for 3 years, I tried the R&S Helleburg II knockoff, but was not pleased with the results. What I finally found that worked (for me) was the Tuba Exchange Rose Model MP. It is a bit large (I have a relatively small jaw line), but does the trick for large ensemble work (about 90% of what I do now). It is not a great "high" MP, but does the job filling the hall and doing the low end work. For small ensembles I still use the Conn Helleburg, though the shank gets buried in the reciever.
Dillons Music had a supply of the overstock TE Rose mouthpieces, and they were selling them for about $50. That is where I got mine (on eBay through Dillons), and I can say that there service is GREAT!
