I have an old, rather beaten up early version of what I believe to be a BBb Conn 10J. The serial number dates in to before 1910. I have tried to get it into some type of playing condition, but not with much success - the valves are shot, the tuning slides completely frozen, and some odd pitch issues. It would make a decent "chasis" for a CC tuba, or possibly a BBb if you have valves, a leadpipe and time. I will sell it for $150 plus shipping (from Grand Rapids, MI) if you are interested. Right now it is basically a decoration for me, as I did find a 10J variant dating to about 1920 on eBay (that is in solid playing condition).
