If you're going to play in college, find out what the teachers there require. You'll probably find they want you to play a CC for orchestra, ensembles, etc. At your age, go for it - get a CC and learn to play it well and sometime down the line get a BBb to have around for some band stuff. This is from a BBb playing middle-aged guy who plays in a community band and occasionally at church. I don't have a CC, but maybe someday.....
