That's not really what I'm saying. I don't feel it reflects the bore size by output any more than most horns do. It's a very powerful tuba with very few negatives. I enjoy its agility and responsiveness, but the bigger horns get a different kind of powerful sound. I sometimes wish I had both so I could choose the horn I want for each situation. Money sometimes forces us to make a choice between a small horn with surprising power, or a large horn with surprising agility. I made my choice, but I'd rather have both. I've been very happy with the Conn.
