A bird's eye view in retrospect of ITEC 2002, Day 4

Back over early for the Reading session. This has been a ton of fun.
Richard Perry’s Jazz class, or a recital by Matt Tropman, Tom Stein
and Tim Northcut? hmm.
Roger Bobo. Masterclass. Need I say more?
ITEA General meeting. Man, I’m glad they’re having this—sure hope
to hear great things about the organization.
After lunch, Steve Mead & Pat Sheridan. No adjective available.
Then, a discussion about the large tuba ensemble by two
primary founders—Connie Weldon and Winston Morris. I’ve always
wanted to see/hear the two of them talk about this! And a student
only meeting. That’s new and different. Good for them!
Now a lecture by Joe Skillen. He’s always got good stuff to say.
And another session just for the students—apparently planned by
the Student Advisory Board.

Back to the Recital Hall. Celluoid Tubas. Tuba & film.
What a concept.

After dinner, the host group’s ensemble UNCG kicks the evening off,
and then, The US Army Band. Gavin Woods (England)
Shoichiro Hokazano (Japan) Roger Behrend, Tom Bratten,
and Host Dennis AsKew Sounds like a good lineup of soloists.
Afterhours Jazz led by the infamous Marty Erickson tonight.
That’ll be fun!
