That is a good question. When something like that is asked on a taped round it can seem rather confusing what they are looking for. What you need to do is put a technical and a lyrical piece on the tape/cd. Remember that many tapes are decided upon within the first 30 seconds so put your best effort first. Also, a piano/band accompaniment can be the difference between you getting asked to the audition or not, I know about that first hand.
