Common excerpts in my euphonium auditions:
1. Slow solo from Roman Carnival
2. Tchaik 4 finale
3. Solo from Theme and Variations--Schoenberg
Those 3 were on at least 2 of my 3 Army auditions. They also usually threw in a march--an easy one to read--looking more for style than getting the notes (though I suppose they wanted us to get the notes too :) There were others, of course, but those 3 come up alot.
