The simplicity reason is why I bought a dependant valve system bone (Bach 50BO2) for my HS band. While the independant system has more options it can be a bit more challenging to master. The "stacked " system can basically be used as a single valve horn except when you need the C or B. Personally I would recommend a used Bach 50B2 or the Getzen "dave Taylor" model (whatever the number is). This horn is the best "bang for the buck" on the Bass bone market I feel.
