I have a small notepad given out by Martin as a promotional item sometime in the mid-20th century. I remember it having some information about the history of the company printed in it. If I can find it in all of my boxes I will let you know more details. Martin "Handcraft" instruments were their top of the line. Martin sold them based on the concept of being hand crafted. The big Martin tubas that I have tried have been among the best playing BATs I have seen.
The Martin brand name is currently owned by LeBlanc who continues to sell Martin Brand trumpets.
