I have a horn-playing friend that was stationed with a local military band in Kentucky who is now over in Iraq. He had only been settled in for a few months after finishing the military music school in Virginia. He is not playing; he is working/fighting. I doubt that he joined the band with any thoughts of ever going to war...a sad turn of events.
