Excellent words! The more one performs publicly, the less problem nerves will be. I would add that periodic performances are important. In other words, it is not enough to have done "10,000" performances last year, then not done any for several months this year. Performing regularly, at least for me, helps immensely with the nerves. Things simply seem more routine that way.

Also, your comment concerning visualizing is a good one. Visualizing works in many areas of life. In playing a wind instrument, it is helpful visualize all things in connection with a good performance. Even, maybe especially, one should "visualize" a good sound. That is to say, one should know what they want to sound like. Then it becomes a matter of seeing to it that your image becomes reality.

I really liked your post, Martin. It was brief but to the point. Much more so than this one, I would say.
