My only question to you is why buy a big F tuba when you already have a 5 quarter CC? I just bought a PT 10 and love it. I bought it used and am doing quite well on it, it is a purchase going into it you have to be ready to really work out the low register. I personally like the PT and Hirsch. f tubas because of the color as opposed to the other brands and especially an E flat tuba ( just my opinion, and my tuba prof does play an E flat horn, we agree to disagree).
Anyways, I know there is a big push for the bigger f horns, but Gene Porkorney has a PT 10. If a PT 10 is good enough for him, then its good enough for me.
