Money's no problem??? By all means, buy the HB-50. Go to Europe, buy it there, and fly it back (I hear it's cheaper that way then buying it in the states). It's a great horn, and almost everyone who posts on this board would love to have one for themselves.
I don't, however, see why you think this horn or the PT-6 is necessary to be a professional orchestral musician. Particularly now, just graduating high school. If money is no object, go study privately with the player you respect the most, get an apartment, and practice 6-8 hours a day. Join the AFM, and take every audition you can possibly get to.
This is the most direct, no sugar-coating, politically incorrect advice I can give you. Let the flames begin.
