The DEG All-Weather mouthpiece intrigued me until I tried one. I wasn't very impressed because I like a Helleberg-style or larger mouthpiece, and I couldn't get any sound out of the smaller mouthpiece.
However, I've been experimenting with them recently, and have found that I can further machine the Delrin cup and rim to make it quite different, and open up the backbore. The result is a vastly different mouthpiece.
I plan to talk to the DEG folks this weekend at the NAPBIRT (National Professional Instrument Repair) Convention, and see if they are open to the idea of offering at least a Helleberg-style, and larger Bach-style mouthpieces. If not, then I'll probably just do it myself. I've already made a Helleberg copy from one of the All-Weather mouthpieces, and it is not particularly difficult.
