I've got a bit of a situation to resolve -
We've been authorized to purchase cases for our eight-of-a-kind, Kanstul-built, USMC-issued contrabass bugles.
The wooden cases we've been using for ground travel (we have separate Anvil flight crates) get thrashed in two seasons. After receiving a new batch of four -- one of which had its bell end crunched in transit, another's mouthpiece compartment fell out -- our XO finally had enough, and has given us the go-ahead to find some quality cases.
Requirements? Well, "the ideal case", of course. Reasonably lightweight, narrow, proper fit, structurally stable, with very strong handles and wheels (which, naturally, would save a lot of wear on the handles). Proximity to DC would be a bonus, especially if a horn is needed for custom measurements & fitment.
Who can we call, where can we go, etc? We do have a fixed budget, but if we can't get enough in the first batch, we can get some more on the next budget.
Thanks for any help!
