For all the Chamber Music Enthusiasts, like myself, the 57th Annual Coleman Association Chamber Music Competition will be held Saturday April 26th in Ramo Auditorium at CalTech in Pasadena, CA. If I am correct the competition is open to the public. The winner's concert will take place on Sunday the 27th at 3pm. There are two divisions; string and wind. I am not sure exactly how many groups will be participating. Our band (brass quintet) performs Saturday at 11:05am. The format includes a 20 minute audition consisting of an 8 minute increment where we can't be stopped followed by a 12 minute period which the judges have full control of, and yes they have scores. It should be interesting. I hope this information is worthwhile somehow. I would love to see some of you there. Email me if you have any questions. Take care,
