Oh and one more thing: I have found a rehearsal technique that is just wonderful. If there is a piece that is ragged on being together, it is extremely helpful to learn it from the end forwards. Not playing it backwards; learning the very end perfectly first, over and over....and then backing up just a few measures and learning from there to the end (which you already know well) perfectly. Over and over. This requires patience in the short run, but gets much quicker results in the long run.
