I have seen one up close, and took a honk on the sly. What the previous posters said is true, but one doesn't have to muscle it to get an exceptional sound. With that bore size, it is incredibly free-blowing, and the rotary valves are an added bonus. It is a true pleasure to play. It is huge. It is definately huge. It, or the Rudy "7/4" BBb, is my dream horn. There you have it. One would have no problem holding up an orchestra with it if you have the lungs.
