There have been several posts over the years, and I know many of you may not have access to the TUBA Journals of the past---all have complete documentation as to mis-prints etc.

Specific to the Dbs--and there are are none 3 before Nr. 2 going up all of the D's between 1 and 2 have to do with the harmonic and melodic direction, specifically the D's here which are like leading tones to Eb. Part of the modal sound at this point, a mix of F major and F minor is quite correct.

Oxford University Press has a full score and miniature score---pages 50-51 and 52 show this clearly and Eulenburg has a score in their series as well.

From performing this and looking at the orchestra score and the band score by Robert Hare one can also find that the reading of D in these spots is correct.

More interesting are the changes in the cadenza in the first movement and the few changes in the third movement cadenza.
