As an owner of a Rudy F, I can say that they are a good investment. If you mean in resale value, I bought mine in an OK used condition from Brasswind and still paid a pretty penny. These horns are big enough physically and sound-wise to be all-around horns. If you are looking for a small, light F tuba sound, I don't think you'll find it in this horn. The newer horns I have played have better response and low register than mine. They get a great dark sound that blends well.
