I have really been giving this a lot of thought lately. I am getting older, and busier with my three year old and infant, which contribute to my declining aptitude on the horn. Things I could do easily a few years ago are quite difficult now (if not impossible). My quartet is not as focused as we once were, and the pro wind ensemble I play in is on an extended break. But I must play because it is one gift I can give back to my creator. When I bring God's music to other ears, and it moves them... I have to keep playing.
