I don't mean this in any kind of offensive way since both teacher and student are obviously present, but any teacher can only take you so far. The advice of a great teacher will be lost on a student who doesn't put the time in, and a dedicated student will improve under almost any circumstances. At some point, you have to make things happen for yourself.
