I'm in the University of Michigan tuba studio and a friend of Heather McDown (she stayed me when she auditioned at UM). Heather's told me a lot about you -- how much she respected you as a teacher, how much she's learned from you, how she felt that OU was the best place for her to go to college. I know your work with the Tuba/Euph Workshop has been great for a lot of people, too. I just wanted to extend my sympathy for your situation. If something similar were to happen with Professor Kaenzig here at UM, I'd be furious. You should definitely fight back; this isn't the way great teaching and dedication should be rewarded.
