I have a large 4/4 CC for sale. It is a hybrid horn made from Mirafone and Rudy Meinl parts. The valves, leadpipe and bell are Mirafone, while all the other tubing from (and including) the tuning slide to right before the bell is Rudy Meinl. It was one of the first prototypes to the first Mirafone 188.
It is bigger than a 188, sounds bigger than a 188, and has a more open wrap. It has an up-and-down tuning slide like that of a Rudy Meinl. It plays better (in my [and others'] opinion) than a 188 and blows more freely. It is unlacquered.
