This product appears to be just a surface glaze, so there's no real "patina" per se. There ARE ways to chemically form a real patina on copper and brass work. One, I seem to recall involves liberal application of hot cow urine (no joke)!
If I were you, I'd just keep playing the horn (and not polishing it); it'll form a nice funky pantina soon enough.
