I am a band director with a very small concert band. Fortunately though, I do happen to have 4 tuba players. I am considering buying an E flat tuba for my first chair player. My thinking here is that this will make the bass line more distinctive while taking away some of the boominess of the sound. any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
