(sticking my neck out) --

I've seen teachers in all disciplines who are masters at the art of teaching, but I've seen plenty that just aren't and never will be. Guess which classes I hated going to?

Teaching was never something that I dreamt of doing. I don't want to get a certification that says, "Yes, I can teach K-12 band & chorus, no matter how bad the program is," because I don't think that I can guarantee I'd be able to do that. I may be OK with teaching a studio or being a part of a much larger program, but I can't see running the whole ship. Those who do it well have my utmost respect.

I don't want to give the kids a crap learning experience. So, I'm a performance major, and if I weren't, I'd be in physics or something similar.

Seeya,
Leland
