I sell some high-quality 4 rotor BBb "West" German tubas that are stamped "Wurzbach". From owning and selling Rudolf-Meinl tubas (3/4,4/4,and 5/4) I am pretty dern sure that these are R. Meinl's in disguise. Unlike Rudy Meinl, with Wurzbach, only 4-rotor BBb's are available, and both the 4/4 Wurzbach (like the Rudy Meinl LARGE 3/4) and the 5/4 Wurzbach compete in price with the Miraphone "S" series, but both Wurzbach BBb's, in their ways, have more interesting tonal characteristics, and still very good intonation. I am at home, but I THINK that the "4/4" has a .748" bore and an 18" bell, and the "5/4" has a .812" bore and a 20" bell.
