Don't be fooled too much, that B&S 52 really is a honker! Between it and my PT50 on my 3302, it's ALMOST a dead heat. The B&S 52 is rounder- and weightier-sounding than the 50, but the 50's crisper and fatter. For ME & MY TUBA, they both do the job well. I'm not gonna trade away either the 50 or 52.
The 52 is very much a V-cup "American style" mpc that sounds awesome on walking bass. It's perversely deep with a huge throat, and as a bonus, its exterior looks just like a Bach mpc, which means that it's less likely that someone will try to steal it (unlike the very pretty PT mpcs)!
