Hey Guys, thanks for the info on the tuba mute. I got the Dennis Wick. It plays great and is very well made. The best price was Brasswind & Dillon, around 175.00. Both stores were "out of stock" so I went with TUBA EXCHANGE, higher price, but it went out that day! So. . . now that I have it, It does seem hard to get it up in the bell for the last measure of Mippy III. I'm thinking about having a nice looking girl bring it on stage right at the last minute and "plug it in"!

P.S. anyone not reading treble clef yet, GET STARTED! All the great etude books: 48 Etudes For Horn/Reynolds, 30 Modern Etudes for Trumpet/Walter Smith, Etudes Transcendantes for Trumpet/Charlier, Max Pottage Selected Studies/Horn - just to name a few. And for some very hip tuba duets, try the Hindemith Duets for violin.
